Spring News
The nights are getting brighter and spring is just round the corner. We hope you are looking forward to the 2024 season.
Our first event was Sunday the 25th Feb held at the beautiful Viewmount Equestrian. This was a long reining demonstration and talk from Kimberley Battleday. Lots of questions were asked and a few of the attendees had a go at long reining Maggie’s horse, Beam. Photos are in the gallery on the Website for you to view. The feedback was very positive and we are now planning our follow up session. So keep an eye open for the date for your diary.
Next month is the last virtual dressage competition of the league. Entries to be in by the 10th March. Placings will be announced by 20th March and Rosettes and the Trophy will be handed out at our AGM.
As most of you aware we are very lucky to have the use of The Black Isle Show Field. Our contract was up for renewal and due to rising costs we unsure if we would be unable to renew. We are delighted to announce that we will continue to get the use of this wonderful site for many years to come. The Club has a strong relationship the Black Isle Farmers Society. We have provided helpers for the Black Isle Show. Running qualifying competitions for the Wednesday night showjumping. Helping to build the course, use of our show jumps and again providing helpers. Last years Wed night showing jumping was a huge success, bringing in a big crowd to watch. Our club was very well represented with our members being placed in both the 80cm and 90cm classes. This year again our club will be providing help for both events. We want to thank the Black Isle Farmers for their continued support of our Club.
All our competition dates are set and you can find them in the Events section on the website.
We have now moved over to Entry Master as our platform for entering and paying for training and competitions. We hope you find this new platform user friendly. If you need any help with entering any of our events please feel free to contact us.
Membership is now all completed through the BRC and there is a link on our website. Membership renewal will be from the date you joined meaning you will always get the benefits off being a member for a full 12 months.
We would like to welcome back Becky Milnes to the committee.
